This type of equipment cuts documents, bills, receipts, and even credit cards horizontally and vertically. This is done by contra-rotating bladed drums that produce rectangular, parallelogram, or diamond confetti. Because of the small size of the cut documents, it is extremely difficult to reassemble and render them readable. Although they generally cost more than those that cut into strips, they are more secure and thus worth the extra investment.
Another advantage of these type of machines is that since the confetti are so small, more cut material can be stored in the trash bin, eliminating the need to continually empty them into bigger containers.
There are plenty of websites offering this machine that sometimes they could be overwhelming. The most important thing to remember when buying is if the machine meets your specific needs. You do not want to buy one that can process a hundred documents a day when you only need the cut ten.
